Nantucket. My Happy Place.
Nantucket is a very special place for me. Maybe it's because of the quaint small-town feel? Maybe it's because I always go there with my favorite people and have the best time? Whatever it is, I love Nantucket. It is my happy place.
Where to stay: The Nantucket Hotel in Nantucket, MA
I love Nantucket in the off-season. While extremely beautiful in the summer, the population grows 3x during the warmer months and can make the small island feel crowded. Don't get me wrong, I love a summer getaway to the Grey Lady, but you really get a feel for the charming Massachusetts island during the spring or fall. When I had the chance to visit The Nantucket Hotel, I jumped at the chance to go in April. Right before the peak season starts, the restaurants and shops are opening back up but you don't have to deal with any crowds - and reservations are very easy to come by.
A must stay: 76 Main Nantucket
It had been quite some time since my girlfriends and I planned a weekend getaway. Lark Hotels is my one of my favorite hotel groups, so when we decided on Nantucket for our trip, I knew I needed to stay at one of their properties. And 76 Main would be perfect for us.
