In the heart of the charming island of Nantucket, nestled on Centre Street, you’ll find the newly opened Faraway Hotel. It’s the perfect spot for your next Nantucket getaway.
As you approach the Faraway, you’re greeted by an unassuming row of lush green shrubs. But don’t let the exterior fool you. Once you round the corner of the entrance, you’re transported into a vibrant courtyard, a veritable oasis teeming with greenery and ample seating. It’s a sight to behold, a testament to the design prowess of the team behind Life House. From the checkerboard-patterned lobby floor to the tastefully curated decor, the Faraway is a feast for the senses.
I had the pleasure of staying in the Faraway’s two-bedroom suite, a cozy haven perfect for 2-4 people. The suite is thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable sitting area including a couch, coffee table, a generously sized mini-fridge, and a TV. There’s even a tiny porch (or should I say perch?) for those moments when you crave a breath of fresh air. The bathroom is just the right size, with a shower that’s a dream to step into.
The suite boasts two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The larger room also features a small closet, a table, and a chair. In short, this suite leaves nothing to be desired.
The Faraway’s prime location in downtown Nantucket makes it the ideal base for your island adventures. After a day of exploring the local shops, indulging in the island’s culinary delights, and savoring a drink or two, there’s nothing better than returning to the comfort of the Faraway. It’s perfect for families, girls’ trips, and romantic getaways alike.
During my stay, the hotel was just beginning to welcome guests. Despite this, the team went above and beyond to accommodate their visitors. When tropical storm Elsa threw a wrench in my departure plans, the Faraway team was there to help, finding room options at the Faraway and Life House. Their assistance was a godsend during a stressful time.
The cherry on top? The Faraway’s restaurant will open later this month. I can’t wait to sample their menu on my next Nantucket getaway, which, needless to say, can’t come soon enough.
A million thank yous to the Faraway on Nantucket for generously hosting me! If you’re interested in staying at the Faraway, visit their website at farawayhotel.com. All opinions and images are my own.
