There’s nothing like a good staycation. It gives you an excuse to stay in a new neighborhood, explore your hometown, and eat in a restaurant you haven’t tried yet. So a couple weeks ago, I did just that. I packed my bags and treated myself to the Ames Boston Hotel’s #FindYourBoston foodie package. (PS – keep reading for a little surprise…)

Set in the heart of the Boston, the Ames Hotel is an incredible hotel with even more incredible views.

I had a fabulous welcome package waiting for me in my room when I arrived. There no welcome like some bubbles and decadent cheese. (Note to all hotels.)

Ok, back to the room. The accommodations at the Ames were incredible. I stayed in the Ames Apartment Suite, and let me tell you, I could get used that room. It was SO beautiful.

As part of the foodie #FindYourBoston package, the Ames booked dinner for me at Stir, Barbara Lynch’s demonstration kitchen. I’m a huge fan of Chef Lynch, and I’ve actually been lucky enough to dine at all of her restaurants, except Stir. The theme was All About Caviar, which is something I know nothing about, so I’m able to check off a couple things on my bucket list. Not too bad for a staycation.

After a beautiful dinner at Stir, I was excited to head back to the Ames and curl up for the night. I watched a movie and happily passed out.
The next morning was rainy and I was perfectly content to stay in the hotel for as long as possible.
Unfortunately, late checkout or not, I had to leave at some point.

I can’t recommend the #FindYourBoston foodie package enough. It’s a luxury that everyone should take advantage of. Especially if you’re a Bostonian and haven’t experienced your city like a foodie. Ames Boston Hotel and I feel strongly that everyone should #FindYourBoston, so they are offering my readers 10% off your stay until April 12, 2019! *books another stay immediately*
Whether you have a hotel with a foodie package or not, a staycation in your hometown can easily become a luxurious getaway – even for one night. Book a great hotel room, find a new restaurant and explore your hometown just like a foodie.
