Happy 4th of July to all my American amigos! I am en route to Nantucket today for a week’s getaway. Per yooj, I’m excited to visit my favorite island, but this trip is extra because I will be staying at the new Life House and Faraway hotels. I will be writing and posting all about it, but if you’re looking for some behind-the-scenes action, make sure to follow along on Instagram.

This week's top five.

1.

I went for a run on Monday for the first time since 2013, and it felt really good. I walk about 5 miles a day so I’m not starting cold, but dang, walking and running are not the same things. I stopped running because it became too much of a competition, but now that I’m beyond that, I didn’t hate it. I popped on my favorite headphones, sneaks, and listened to The Daily. I even used my new FitBit Luxe and it’s a major upgrade to my Sense 2. I made it about 3.5 miles and I’m pretty proud.

2.

I recapped my month in wine for June 2021. There’s a little bit of everything. Classics, new loves, and some meh wines. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of those fermented grapes.

3.

This is Pop on Netflix has me so nostalgic. It’s worth watching if you grew up in the 90s/2000s or are just a music fan. The Boyz II Men ep is definitely my favorite, and I’m surprised they didn’t make one on K Pop, but each episode is so good.

4.

Instagram and my love of Maine totally influenced me, so I bought this book about… Maine. It’s a beautiful book. If you have any anxiety, it will be such a relief. The perfection within the imperfection is inspiring.

5.

The more I learn about Britney Spears’ conservatorship, the sadder I become. The New Yorker dives into a lot of detail around this nightmare of a situation. It’s a long read, but if you’re invested in this whole situation even a tiny bit, it’s worth the 10 minutes of your time.
