Shopping in Nashville, TN

August 8, 2016

This post is all about shopping in the 12 South neighborhood. This is where I stayed and spent most of my time while I was visiting Nashville.

If you read Part One, you’ve got a good idea where I ate and what I saw. And since I had the best time poking around the shops in 12 South, I wanted to give you the lowdown. Because I like you. And I care.

Of course, we have your standard clothing shops (brought to you by none other than Reese Witherspoon), but there are also some really rad vintage and general stores.

imogene + willie

imogene + willie is a super cool Nashville clothing store focused on jeans. What I love about this spot is not only do they sell amazing denim, but the store is just beautiful. It’s in an old gas station and no detail is overlooked. Old stereos, neon signs, leather couches – you just want to hang out in there. Even if you’re not in the market for new jeans, stop by and hang for a bit.

White’s Mercantile

I love the tagline for White’s Mercantile: A general store for the modern-day tastemaker. From designer matches to coffee table books to anything and everything for your in-home bar. White’s is perfection. I could literally spend all day in here. They are also housed in an old gas station. I can’t get enough of shopping in old gas stations. Just too cool.

Savant Vintage

Savant Vintage has anything and everything that you could possibly want – and things you didn’t know you wanted. Savant prides themselves on having hand-picked, authentic vintage items. It’s very unassuming on the outside but inside has loads of hats, jackets, dishes, and jewelry. If you are into vintage, definitely wander around for a bit.

Draper James

Draper James is Reese Witherspoon’s women’s clothing store. They also have a few home goods, like plates and cloth coasters. It’s an impeccably styled spot, and they even painted the side of the building blue and white stripes – every Instagramers dream.

Emerson Grace

Emerson Grace is an upscale men’s and women’s clothing. Lots of designers I haven’t heard of before. Even if it’s out of your price range, it’s total eye-candy and worth checking out.

If you’re looking for a full list of recs, I created a Nashville list on the Spot app that includes all of the spots I didn’t make it too.
