I just returned from an incredible weekend at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami and I’m speechless.
As someone who is always on her phone, thrives on being busy and doesn’t stop unless forced, I’m trying to learn how to relax. I knew my visit to Mandarin Oriental, Miami would be a treat, but I wouldn’t have ever guessed how lovely it would be. To set the tone for the weekend, the first thing I did was experience a digital detox at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami Spa. Let me tell you – that was the right decision. I immediately felt centered and ready to enjoy the weekend. I ended my first night with an amazing meal at La Mar by Gaston Acurio. It was so good that I planned to go back for drinks and apps the next night.
The rest of the weekend included laying by the pool, reading (an actual book!), and sipping pisco sours. While I was trying a passionfruit pisco sour (yes, back at La Mar), the waitress said to me “you’re on vacation, act like it.” It’s not that I wasn’t, it was more of an affirmation. So that’s what I did.
“You’re on vacation, act like it.”
I was spoiled every minute I was there, and the Mandarin Oriental, Miami wants to spoil you too! They are offering my readers 15% off your next stay at their beautiful property.
And in case you’re still up in the air, here are 10 reasons you’ll love the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

It’s an island oasis. Located on Brickell Key, just across the bay from downtown, the Mandarin Oriental, Miami has incredible views of Miami and Biscayne Bay.

The Digital Wellness Detox spa treatment. I had a digital detox in the private suite of the Mandarin Oriental, Miami spa, which included a massage with shungite stones and essentials oils followed by a body scrub. Everyone should spend an hour and a half away from their devices while being rubbed by a magical human being.

The staff. From Angela, masseuse extraordinaire, to Freddy, the most hospitable restaurant manager probably ever, everyone at the hotel is incredible. Everyone is beyond friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel like you’re part of the family.

La Mar by Gaston Acurio (and YAKU by La Mar). One of my favorite dining experiences to date. Both dinner and brunch are phenomenal. The pisco sours aren’t too shabby either. I would actually go so far as to say I would travel to Miami just to eat at Lar Mar.

The pool. Not only is the pool an infinity pool, it overlooks Biscayne Bay, AND the water is the perfect temperature. Seriously. It was 80+ degrees outside and the pool water was perfectly refreshing. Heaven.

Six

Mo bar + lounge. The lobby bar is awesome. They have an excellent sushi menu and on Saturdays a Cuban band performs. Just imagine how happy you would be if you combined those two things.

Seven

The jogging path. I love going for a walk after I get off a plane. The jogging path around the island is perfect for an afternoon walk – or for a morning stroll with a coffee.
Eight

The beach. A few steps beyond the pool is the amazing manmade beach. Put your toes in the sand and take in the views.

Nine

The Mandarin Oriental, Miami is close to everything. Brickell City Center, the Wynwood Walls, and South Beach are all a walk or a short Lyft ride away.

It’s relaxing. This probably goes without saying, but the hotel is so completely zen. If you need a mini-break by yourself, a romantic weekend with your boyfriend/girlfriend or getaway with your girlfriends or mom, I can’t recommend the Mandarin Oriental, Miami more.
